Office parties are supposed to feel easy. In practice, someone is vegan, someone cannot eat nuts, someone is fasting, and someone else would simply prefer not to be in the spotlight. None of that is difficult if you plan for it up front.
Write it down, keep it short
A one-page note beats a long policy no one reads. Say how you collect food preferences, who can view them, how often you refresh them, and how people can say “count me out” without drama. Make it easy to change your mind later.
What we do on our side
On Farha, the notes you save travel with the order to the bakery. If someone skips the celebration or flags an allergy, routing adjusts without putting their reasons on a group chat. The point is simple: respect the default, protect dignity.
